All our electronic appliances have a minimum of 2 years warranty from the date of purchase which is written on your invoice. In the case you don't have your invoice with you we can re-print it for you.

All small appliances come with a production manual in their box or an indication to a website to download it. If however, you still find something difficult to understand, don't hesitate to call our Customer Service Department on 00357 24818180. For all large appliances, e.g. fridges, ovens, washing machines etc., our technicians will explain everything you need to know during installation.

In short, a smart TV is an internet-enabled TV which connects to your favourite streaming platforms for endless enjoyment of your favourite content. If your TV has internet connectivity, runs on an operating system, and comes with its own app service, it's smart!

In smart TVs, the operating system is preloaded into the television set's firmware, which provides access to apps and other digital content. In contrast, traditional televisions primarily act as displays and are limited to vendor-specific customization. The software applications can be preloaded into the device or updated or installed on demand via an application store or marketplace, in a manner similar to how applications are integrated into modern smartphones.

Smart TVs deliver content (such as photos, movies and music) from other computers or network attached storage devices on a network using either a Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) / Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) media server or similar service program like Windows Media Player or Network-attached storage (NAS), or via iTunes. It also provides access to Internet-based services including traditional broadcast TV channels, catch-up services, video on demand (VOD), electronic program guide, interactive advertising, personalization, voting, games, social networking, and other multimedia applications. Smart TV enables access to movies, shows, video games, apps and more. Some of those apps include Netflix, Plex, Spotify, YouTube, and Amazon.

A smart TV platform has a public software development kit which third-party developers can develop applications, and an app store so end-users can install and uninstall apps. The public SDK enables third-party application developers to write applications and see them run successfully on any device that supports the smart TV platform architecture it was written for, regardless of the hardware manufacturer.

The technology that enables smart TVs is also incorporated into external devices such as set-top boxes and some Blu-ray players, game consoles, digital media players, hotel television systems, smartphones, and other network-connected interactive devices that utilize television-type display outputs. These devices allow viewers to find and play videos, movies, TV shows, photos, and other content from the Web, cable or satellite TV channels, or a local storage device.

When you have a distance of 3 meters from your TV, there is no limit to the size of your TV. Please keep in mind a TV's size refers to its diagonal length, measured from the upper left-hand corner of the actual TV screen to the lower right-hand corner.

This may differ from room to room, but the ideal height is to have the middle of the TV screen at eye level or slightly below. This is because lifting your eyes is very tiring and can cause strain when settling in for a movie marathon or bingeing your favourite series.

Most experts recommend the centre of the TV to be around one metre from the floor, however, this may differ depending on how tall you are and the height of your sofa or chair.

Of course, there are some exceptions, if you tend to watch television while sitting on a recliner or while lying in bed, the TV should be mounted higher. This could be as high as 1.8m. But in this case, it is best to have an adjustable mount that you can easily alter the angle depending on your position.

LED (Light Emitting Diode)
The lens is made of liquid crystals. Behind the panels, there are LED lights, making it thinner. There is a small time delay in the movement of the picture due to LEDs technology making it difficult to produce consistent natural and realistic uniform colour and tones. The average lifespan of an LED TV remains between 50.000 to 100.000 hours of use, which equates to roughly 5 to 10 years, depending on usage and care. High-quality brands and models can last longer, while factors like high brightness settings, heat, and extended use may shorten this expected lifetime.

QNED (Quantum Nano-Emitting Diodes)
Nanoparticles help the QNED TV panel filter duller tones that affect the image’s brightness combining the red, blue, green and yellow colours, creating another level of vibrancy providing picture quality with higher contrasts, deeper blacks and more realistic colors. QNED TV’s response time is slower than an OLED screen. QNED’s pixels are grouped together in zones using Mini-LEDs. Poorer viewing angle than OLED. QNED is a new technology and we're still to get accurate data about its longevity. The lifespan of a QNED panel is limited, according to online sources. But this doesn't just apply to QNED, but any type of LED including the backlight of LED-LCD TVs. In the last few years, the lifespan of QNED has tripled and is estimated to now have 100.000 of viewing.

Electrical products by law have a minimum of 2 years warranty. Please return electrical products to our store as stated on our contact page (with proof of purchase) for repair. You can also send the item by courier or post, the cost of which is borne by the customer.

Our experienced service team will contact you within a 2-3 working days. If the warranty of your appliances still applies, you will not be charged for the repair.

If the warranty does not apply, don't worry! Follow the exact same procedure as written above and we will repair your products (if repairable). In the case a products repair will be more the half the cost of a new replacement, our technicians will not proceed with the repair.

Step 1: Fill your electric kettle with 1 part white vinegar and 3 parts water.
Step 2: Bring the vinegar and water mixture to a boil and allow to stand overnight before emptying the solution.

You may collect your small appliance from our store located in Larnaca. Small items of up to 10kg are dispatched via Akis Express couriers with a small delivery charge of €4. For small appliances weighing over 10kg the delivery fee will increase accordingly. Orders placed by 11am (depending on availability) are dispatched on the same working day and then transferred to the nearest Akis Express station according to the address you have provided. Payments are made online whilst checking out.

If you are unhappy with any item, simply return it un-opened to our local store (address shown on the contact page of our website) in it’s original packaging within 14 days of receipt and we will give you a *refund.

To make a return, take the following steps:
1. Go to our Contact us page.
2. Send us an email with your Order ID, your name and surname, address, phone number and email address and tell us why you would like to return the specific product(s).

Our qualified staff will respond to your request as soon possible with instructions on how to return the desired products. This will speed up the processing of your return.

Please note that when returning an order for a refund, you will be responsible for the return postage unless an error occurred on our part. Once we have received the shipment, we will issue a refund to your preferred method of payment.

*Broken items and products not in their original packaging will not be applicable to a refund.

You can pay by MasterCard or Visa card. Your credit/debit card details will be encrypted to minimize the possibility of unauthorized access or disclosure. Authority for payment must be given at the time of placing your order.

Our liability to you in connection with any order will not exceed the total price charged for the relevant items.

Before the delivery, you will receive a call from us giving you the time and day of delivery. If you do not provide the correct phone number when you order online, the company is not responsible for any delay in delivery. Please contact our Customer Service Department as soon as possible providing your personal information and your phone number to reschedule the delivery of your products.

All goods must be signed for on the day of delivery by an adult aged 18 years or over. If we attempt to deliver your order to the address supplied by you and there is nobody to accept your order, the driver will leave notification of attempted delivery and you will need to contact our Customer Service Centre to re-arrange delivery (see below for contact details). In these circumstances, if we have to return to deliver the goods, a further charge may become applicable, provided that delivery is attempted at the time agreed by both parties.

Whilst we make every effort to deliver all your goods in the agreed time, we will not be liable if we fail to do so in part or in full due to circumstances beyond our control.

For large domestic home appliances, we provide *free **delivery and installation within the Larnaca region within 4-5 business days. In contrast, for other towns (Nicosia, Paphos, Limassol, Ammochostos) there will be a delivery charge which will be displayed during checkout. The delivery cost will depend upon your delivery address.

*Free applies to one visit for all appliances excluding air condition units.

**Deliveries of large household appliances are made to ground floor residences, businesses and to those with access to elevators. The delivery of products to the 1st floor without the use of an elevator includes the following products:

– Free-standing or built-in household appliances of up to 85cm high and 60cm wide, weighing up to 40kg.

Appliances exceeding the above dimensions/kg can be delivered to all floors, provided the lift is available and suitable. In all other cases, a forklift must be pre-arranged, the cost of which is borne by the customer (€50+ per hour) and paid directly to the lift driver. For the smooth completion of the process, it is recommended that the area be free from any obstacles.

Small items include: washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators, BBQs, televisions, etc.
